Notice to Canadian Companies
Waived Fees on Performance Licenses to Canadian Companies:
Sleuths Mystery Entertainment is a New England based company. Canada is our neighbor, our friends, in my case, our family. My great grandparents emigrated to Maine from Quebec and New Brunswick. We’ve performed for hundreds of Canadians over the years and I personally have had the privilege of having my work performed by Canadian companies. The truth is New England is culturally closer to Canada than we are to the rest of the US.
This ongoing ridiculous trade war with Canada needs to end. We need to return to supporting our neighbors, friends, and family. We need to stand with them in this fight. Because of that, we will not allow Canadians to financially support this company, but we will support you.
For our part in this fight we will not charge any fees to any Canadian company who would like to perform our shows unless the playwright is Canadian and even then, we will insist that you pay that playwright directly for the license instead of pay us. We will not allow any Canadian company to even accidentally benefit a government who is actively trying to undermine their economy and threaten their sovereignty. As of today, all shows written by our founder, Robert J. LeBlanc, are free to Canadian companies to perform with an approved license. All collateral associated with those shows are free to use with the same approved license. No other show will be allowed to the Canadian market unless our other playwrights agree, or the playwright in question is Canadian. I’m sure our other playwrights will agree. We have good people here.
Inquire Here and as long as your address is Canadian all fees will be waived and no hidden fees will be added, ever. If the play in question is from a Canadian playwright we will give instructions on how to pay the playwright directly and will waive all fees that benefit the company in any way. This 100% discount will last until the current US regime is out of office and normalized trade relations are reestablished with our neighbors to the north.
As more Sleuths Mystery Entertainment playwrights join in the catalog of shows included will expand.
We urge other companies and independent playwrights to join us in this. We urge theaters to prioritize Canadian playwrights. We urge every American to vote with candidates who support in restoring relations with the people and government of Canada.
